April is a board-certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who obtained her undergraduate nursing degree from Baylor University and her graduate nursing degree from Walden University. After 20 years in Veterinary Medicine, she transitioned to nursing in 2015. Before becoming a Nurse Practitioner, April worked as a Registered Nurse in the emergency department, then worked as both a bedside and travel nurse in adult and children’s surgical recovery. Her medical interests include endocrinology, cardiology, and childhood obesity. When not working, April enjoys singing, knitting, traveling, and listening to music. Originally born in Sacramento, CA, she currently lives in Garland with her husband, Goldendoodle pup, and cat.
